Hitting nets for Outdoor practice?

Not a full-sim setup, just a hitting net and mat on an outdoor deck, to accompany a Garmin R10.

 

What kind of nets are people using? I'm torn if I should go all out on a Net Return Package, something cheap on Amazon, of maybe there's a good value somehwere in the middle?

This has over 10000 balls into it as the cottage and no sign of wear. Driver ball speed is >170mph

I’ve got an R10 that I use on my back porch into a Net Return Pro. Definitely on the expensive side and probably overkill, but I don’t regret the purchase one bit. I needed something that could be staked down and hold up to Oklahoma winds and I’ve been very pleased so far.

I currently have a cheapy that I got off of fb marketplace I think it sells at Walmart for less than $100. I personally don’t hit the ball super hard into it but occasionally I have and it seems to do fine I’ve had it for like a month or so. If I had the room and money I would get one that surrounds you a little more so that any bad shots don’t miss but if you’re pretty consistent and need a target to hit for cheap it works. If you have more money to invest I would get something more fancy

i had a Rukket Sports golf net that i had for 6-7 years. never had an issue with it. left it outside all summer long for first few years i owned it before using it on my first sim. lifetime warranty and dont break the bank at $130-150 depending on what extras you get.

This was a good deal, works fine. Made a frame from some chain-link fence pipe that I had in my scrap pile.

I second the Spornia.  I have the 8G I think.  It’s large enough I don’t have to worry about any shots missing it.   Set up and take down I’d a breeze once you’ve done it a time or two.

For those using spornia outdoors do you take it in each day? Or do you leave outside? Wondering how weather would impact it after a couple days outside

Before switching over to a full enclosure, I was using a gosports 7x7 and never had an issue.

I got 8 years of service out of my Net Return and hit hundreds of thousands of balls into it and I would do it all over again and I don't regret buying it one bit but it depends on how many balls you hit as to whether or not it will be worth it or to go with a cheaper option.

I have the Gosports 10x10 net with an R10 setup at home and it has been great for the past 2 weeks.  Dunno how long it will last outside as I leave it outside but once it starts getting really warm here in Pensacola I will likely pack it up for the summer as I don't play much when it's ridiculously hot outside.

I've had https://www.ebay.com/itm/302918119767 up in the backyard for about 5 years with minimal signs of wear. It has started to leave some black residue on the balls in the last year or so, but I replace balls every 200 shots or so, so its doesn't seem like a big deal.
