Anyone playing Project X in a hybrid?

is it the same flex as your irons?

i bought a j33 hybrid head 18 degrees i believe it has a .355 tip and i was wondering if you guys who do play px in a hybrid went up a flex to offset the extra weight of the head. i am worried that the heavier head would make the px 5.5 i play in my irons too soft. thanks!

I've got a 21* Mizuno MP Fli-Hi and it has the same Project X 6.0 that I have in my irons.

looking at your sig is the only reason why I am hesitant about Project Xs

Why?

At first glance you think, wtf? Why are all his flexes different, are px's THAT inconsistent?

 

If you look, they get softer as you get towards the wedges. Lots of people like softer shafts in the shorter clubs, for feel/touch :black eye: Takes alot of shafts and a decent clubmaker to do all that spot on though^^

The differences in flex are not due to inconsistencies they are due to the fact that Project X's are frequency matched based on a 37.5" 5 iron. Every 1/4" over that will result in the flex going up about .13. I play my 5 iron at 38" hence the 6.3 instead of the 6.0. I really don't want people to think that the PX's are inconsistent because, at least in my experience they are the opposite of that.

Every where else I've read that PX are weight sorted, not frequency matched.

exactly, not everyone are willing to spend that much resources to get it done

I play the PX in my mizzies, also in my TM Burner - no complaints at all, works great.

Both are 6.0 and +1"
