Not sure I understand the question. Neither of them is playing the regular chrome soft and neither is any tour pro that I've ever seen.

Yeah that is what I meant. I didn't realize regular Chrome Soft was being distinguished from Chrome Soft X because ProV1 does not seem distinct from ProV1x; they are different variants, but both "ProV1".

I personally think that the chrome soft is better than a pro V1 because you get less of a ball that is slightly heavier in your swing, giving me a better hit off the drive

If the sound/feel of a ball matters to you as much as performance, the answer is there's no real direct comparison ball in the Callaway range.

 

Ignoring sound/feel, for me as a low clubhead speed golfer the CSX LS was the only once I thought performed pretty similarly to my usual Pro V1x or to a Pro V1 (to me Pro V1 and Pro V1x have gotten so similar for low speed players the difference hardly matters). 

 

Last time I played through a couple sleeves of CSX (not LS) it did not perform as well as the Pro V1 range or the CSX LS. Seemed low trajectory, slightly lacking in distance. And the Chrome Soft I think is a lower flight, lower spin ball closer to AVX than to Pro V1 (again, speaking as a distance/height/spin challenged high handicapper here).
