Hzrdus red vs black driver shaft

Has anyone tried the hzrdus red and black smoke driver shafts? I hit the black pretty good fairly nice trajectory. I switched to the red hzrdus for my 3 wood to help with getting more height hitting off the fairway. Should i stick with the black in my driver? driver swing speed is 105mph. 5 handicap. I think my drives are going about 280yards.

I was fit for a HZRDUS Red 5.0 in a Titleist TRS2 head at 12*, and it was a big improvement over my Ping G25 with the stock regular shaft.  I am 70, have lost distance, and was also fit for senior lightweight shafts in irons.  I am guessing that my driver swing speed is no more than 85.

 

So based on that totally inadequate comparison, I recommend that you stay with what works! 😄

HZRDUS Red was a variation of the original HZRDUS Black: softer tip for higher launch.  Its a great option for fairway woods, or in driver if your default launch is too low but you like the feel of the OG Black.

 

HZRDUS Smoke Black has a slighter stiffer mid and tip than the OG Red.  Feel is similar (perhaps a bit more linear) IMO but launch should be lower.  

 

I agree with @gvogel comments above.  If you like the feel of Smoke Black, and you aren't complaining about the performance, no reason to change.  Red should increase the launch, if that's what you are looking for.
