News Sticks baby!!!!!
Alright, next week I'm buying a new set of irons, why, because I can!
(Gotta love year end bonuses):drinks:

None the less, I'm eyeing 2 different sets right now, I've tried quite a few from Callaway X18's/XTours, Ping i5's, Titleist 690CB. 735CM, Cleveland CG2 and CG4, Mizuno MX23 and MP60's

I've settles in on either the Rac LT2's or the Bridgeston J33 Combo, I'm leaning towards the combo right now, but what do you guys think? :dntknw:

Tough Call. Pretty different clubs. The LT2's are much forgiving than the Bridgestones. I had a Combo set, the original Pro Combos, and got in over my head.

It is my belief they are forgiving compared to blades, but not as forgiving as other clubs. If you want forgiveness look at the X-18, Ping i5, or Mizzy MX-23, maybe the Pro Combo OS.

If you are looking for 'players' clubs the J33 combos the 690.cb and others will be good.

Be honest with yourself about your ability and the clubs you are buying. I wasn't. While the Pro Combos were SWEET, they are MUCH tougher to hit. They aren't even in the bag anymore.....

combos. they're easy to hit where you need it and you get a ton of confidence when you realize short irons dont need huge cavities. combos! combos! combos! combos!

Alright, I'm going with the Combos, my inner Ho has won out :drinks:

I know I'm not that great at all, but some some reason I have better luck with less forgiven clubs.

My brother had this old (I'm talking 70's here)) butter knife blades in his basement he bought at a yard sale some years ago.

So I grabbed them and tried them out, granted they were too short for me, but I hit those things wonderfully.

Since then I've realized when I was trying out new irons, the smaller the head, the better I was, plus I have a thing for square toes on irons.

I just think that having less hitting area forces me to focus more.

Plus when I demoed these, I swear I couldn't hit a bad shot with them, had impact tape on the face and every shot was dead center.

None the less, I'm buying these with a J33 air muscle 2 hybrid ta boot :dntknw:

go for the 4-PW and the air muscle 3 iron, which would leave room for the 18* Utility (more of a a FW looking hybrid) I just got one to fill gap between 3 iron and 3W and it's very solid. and I do like the heavier NV 85g hybrid shaft. great clubs.

Good luck to ya!! Those ARE nice sticks. I couldn't mishit my Pro Combos in store either. I really hit them the best of the bunch, as time went on things changed a bit.

The hybrid replacement for the 3 iron is a good idea. I have one that bridges the 3 & 4 iron.

Enjoy!!! :dntknw:

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
