Many questions about these irons

picked these up years ago, never able to find much information on them. Recent searches reveal that they are PR1 and came out in 1980. Also I assumed they were women’s clubs due to the colors but now I’m not so sure. If anyone could shed some light on these it would be greatly appreciated.

Scroll way down and there’s a small blurb about your irons.  From the stock pictures, I’d guess your set has been highly (and nicely) customized.

They look like a low profile set, a style that enjoyed a short spell of popularity around the late 1970s and early 1980s.

 

Looking at the pale blue highlights throughout the set I'd tend to agree that these are a ladies set, what do the shaft labels say?

 

If you're interested, I made a short video about the low profile craze, although I hadn't seen this model at the time so it's not included.

@Jiggered I did rewatch the video...and suddenly noticed, in your description of the clubs, a marked resemblence to the '91 Hogan Magnum Plus set I have (the Hogan Magnum came out in the mid-80s, I think). The Hogan's have a similar scooped out back (not perimiter weighted like the '88 Hogan Edge Forged) & lots of weight in the toe....Maltby's says that the Magnum Plus had "a sole design that widened significantly from heel to toe. Cavity is open to top line except for thin bar." Sure reminds me of the 440 description, kinda sorta....
I also went to the Vintage Golfer, cuz he was doing an episode on the Hogan Magnum....

can you take a picture of the shaft band? & perhaps one of a close-up of the face, back & sole of one of the irons?

No shaft flex. I sold them for $60
