NEED HELP STOPPING SHANKS AND HOOKS

First vid is from two months ago when I was shooting mid 80s. Second is from yesterday.

It all started a month ago with one shank and now any shot with an iron or wedge it’s either a pull, huge draw/hook or shank. I now have absolutely zero confidence in any club besides driver and hybrid. I’m honestly thinking about never golfing again that’s how bad it’s got. The more I practice the worse it gets. I’ve tried coming with more in to out path, clearing my hips, less lower body rotation. Nothing works.

Some advice will really help thx

As @virtuoso says, not all shanks are created equal.

Cloud kicks out early, club kicks out too late, body drifts closer to ball, etc

These are all ways to shank the ball. But they don’t necessarily tell the whole story or why it’s happening. Would have to see the swing.

Not surprised to see the “inside out” shank from your description. Probably some low point issues too, Right shoulder stalls, right arm throws outward left arm chicken wings across the midline of the body. The answer to fixing your shank and your hook is for the arms and the body to work more harmoniously. Right now the right arm is working too much independently from the shoulder. You have too much independent arm motion overall.

Shanks don’t just show up, they’re always there, people just spend months compensating.

The biggest issue is your hip turn and right knee sequencing. Yeah, you roll the club inside a little bit, but not a terminal issue.

You reach your maximum hip turn very early in the backswing And lock your right knee out.

Then, at the start of the downswing, your right knee fires really early and your arm sequence late as a result.

When your arms trail, bouts of the shanks and hooks are very common.

All "tips" are welcome. Instruction not desired.

Very different swings. The first your hand path as you start your downswing is more vertical. The second swing hand path is more out towards the ball which is a recipe for a shank unless you pull your hands left at impact to avoid the hosel which explains the pulls.

You might want to go back to the first swing. Hands drop more from the top and then feel closer to the body through impact. There is a popular drill for the shanks which is to try and hit an imaginary ball that is inside the actual ball. To do that you need to drop hands from the top and feel hands closer to body at impact.

Maybe try some some silly games to help get you out of the mental rut you're in?  Take a totally weird stance - like...super closed or feet turned way out or something different (there is actually a cool drill where you put one foot back and swing that I legitimately like).  Find a kids club (or really short club) and try to hit it.  Take off one shoe.  Try to swing left handed. Go walk nine holes with only 4 clubs so you're forced to think about manufacturing shots and distances rather than shanks and hip turns or whatever.  Find a short game practice area and try to hit flop shots with a 6 iron.  Anything to get your brain working in a different way.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
