Titleist please make a 505 in a 5 iron to go with my u510 4 iron!  I will buy the first one and I am sure a lot of users of the u500, u510 and 505 would too. U510 is the BEST CLUB in my bag of all 14 Titleist clubs

Do they even make a U500 5 iron for non-tour use?  I only see it go up to a 4 iron on the Titleist page.

Titleist has never offered it in a 5 iron and they should for us that can’t hit the hybrids consistently but love the U series

 

i just cant get myself to buy another 4 and cut it down and weaken the loft, come on Titleist

No kidding!  The T-200 is close but not the same as the U500

The Cobra King Tec utility might be worth noting for folks interested in a 5 utility iron. They have 2 through 5. I think the 5 is 25 degrees and can be ordered 1 weak at 26 degrees.

Yeah, offering up the utility build only ip to 4 iron stinks. Especially when you have probably the one pro most amateurs can relate to with stature and game play a club that only he has access to! I get Tour Issue clubs, but we are talking only a hosel diameter limiting a shaft not fitting.  When I saw the WITB with that 5 iron I was salivating….only to realize I can’t pair my 3 iron U500 up to 5 iron. That would have made a very nice addition to my bag.

I think the t200 would be absolutely fine for most golfers trying to do this and you can see he moves from the smoke into steel in his 5i. I’m sure that would be more than sufficient.

I thought I saw him hit a 5 iron on the tv coverage that had a black shaft. No way he has a random black steel shaft in just the 5 iron. A U500 5 iron would blend nicely as the shape is definitely on the more “players” side instead of the wide sole offerings. But has the tech to get higher and more forgiving. I’m one who likes the 3,4,5 irons in the same slot in my ping bag and having 3 U500 irons would be a great addition!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Titleist make a U500 5 iron for us regular folks!

I told the Titleist fitter the same last week, utility irons should go to 5 … and even 6

 

how many golfers even carry the 1,2,3?   You’d think focus on 4-5-6 would be way more profitable

 

perhaps, sets that run 7-PW then 48 and 52 are less desirable for mfr’s ???  Really just the old lofted 5 to W

You should contact Titleist customer support and see if they can do that. I reached out to Cobra wanting a Forged Tec with a GD shaft like their utilities and they gave me a number to call and built it for me no problem.

That’s incredible….I didn’t know companies would even do something like this. It’s worth an e-mail or call for sure! Couldn’t hurt.

If you want traditional lofts and a heavier head to go with the graphite shaft, you can go the new T200 6i and cut it to a 5i length....granted it will have a 6 on the bottom...but hey...T100 5i = 27* T200 6i = 27*
