Sun mountain bags on a clicgear?

How do sun mountain bags sit on a clicgear these days?

 

I'm pretty keen to move to a bag that has the stand outside the base to help with tangle.

Does the bag sit okay on a clicgear? Does it sit with all its weight on the stand mechanism? Or does the base actually sit where it should?

 

I'm aware you can get the bag cosy etc but I'm mostly wondering about the base and ruining the stand mechanism by having all the weight on that one point.

 

They aren't easy to look at in shops where I live so this will be a blind purchase.

They fit OK, but would highly recommend the bag cozy that CG has.  Makes the twisting that happens with outside legs obsolete.  A very good accessory.  I have seen a few others make a homemade version out of pool noodles also.  Just something to keep the legs in place

The support of the CG hits just behind and to the side of the bag stand mechanism. The bag is a sun mountain C130S. Hope the helps.   Photo is upside down.  This old guy can sometimes be tech challenged 😬

Big help actually, think I could deal with this is I had the bag cosy as well.

The problem I had with Sun mountain and my clicgear was the top of the bag was very square, so didn't sit properly when clamped in, whereas most cart bags are round, which I swapped to.

If you can deal with having two bags, I can’t recommend the Sun Mountain Sync enough. It’s designed for push carts, works perfectly, and isn’t a beast of a bag like the C130. I can’t walk and carry any more so my stand bags sit in the corner — they work OK on a push cart but the Sync is the better choice IMO.

If you are going to use an SM stand bag on a Clicgear, the bag cozy is a 100% absolute must.
