Best Pickers Player Iron 2023

Looking for the ideal set for a slight picker where the miss is thin.  I know this has been discussed before but did not see any threads that included the recent releases.  What iron do you guys think is best for that thin miss that is still a players iron (smallish in size, less offset, etc(?

As you mentioned there’s a couple threads similar to this so I think you’ll get a lot of the same answers. For newer stuff t100/t150 would be good I’m sure and probably then new apex MB/CB/Pro. For stuff that’s been out a while MP223 and p770. I’m sure some will recommend i230/pxg/srixon even though those soles usually aren’t great for pickers. Of course it depends on what you consider a players iron and small since that can be subjective and the lines blur more and more by the day but any of the above should be a solid fit.

My VR Pros are amazingly forgiving for what they are if you catch it a couple of grooves too low. For instance yesterday I had about 185 left into a par 5 for my seconds shot, pulled my 5 and caught it noticeably thin. The ball still travelled and thumped into the bank in front of the green, leaving me an easy up and down, so probably lost about 10 yards of carry. 

 

Granted they aren't exactly new irons these days, but they are incredibly similar to the P7 TWs, so may be worth looking at those?

PXG 0317 CBs have been fantastic for me as a picker/thin miss.

those are seemingly the best on the cool clubs robot.  All about 7 yards drop off between pure and 1/4” thin.

Thus the reason I don't use small players irons!  😗
