Srixon ZX4

Hi, Anyone out there playing the new Srixon ZX4 MK 2? I've seen some reviews online raving about these irons for all ranges of handicaps. Is the hype real? I'm currently a 10.7 playing 790s and am looking for a new set of irons.

can't help you sadly but im considering these too as a higher handicap. Distance isn't my issue and I have heard as far as the more "game improvement" irons go they are not as jacked lofts wise. I already hit my 7i 185ish I don't need it going 200+ with a full on GI iron haha.

I have it in just the 4 iron, but I love it.

 

I seriously considered doing a mixed set of ZX4 4-7 iron, then ZX7 7-PW.  The loft progression made sense when mixed this way.

 

When I demoed them, I liked the feel of the ZX4 better than the ZX5, less clicky to me.  I think it is one of the best GI/SGI heads out there.  I does have some offset, but hides it very well.   Mark Crossfield plays them as his main irons.....

 

Your 790s are great irons, I have several friends that play them, from scratch up to mid handicaps, But I would put the ZX4 mkii right up there with them.   The only knock would be the wider sole in the shorter irons, if you can't handle that, they might not be for you, or do a mixed set.....

I only have the ZX4 4 iron. I hit it 190 carry and 95 feet average height. It’s an amazing iron. I can’t speak about the other irons as I play ZX5 and ZX7.
