Is Evenflow T1100 White similar to Diamana D+? How much different is it from the Evenflow Black?

I have some trade credit to use at RBG and they have the Evenflow T1100 White 70g shaft available.  I've read that the White is softer in the handle than the Black which is something I'm not looking for.  Reviews I've read likened the EF White to the D+.

 

I'm having a difficult time finding an EI profile for the White and would appreciate any info.  Thanks.

I remember the EF T1100 being a white board profile where it has a soft handle but stiff in the mid and tip.  Calling @Valtiel..........

Yeah, per that link the Evenflow T1100 is much more like the Aldila Rogue Silver; high handle stiffness, rapid stiffness loss below the handle with equally rapid stiffness "gain" towards the tip. Definitely not a "White" archetype.

I am not a white or black style of swinger, but did play the Evenflow white in a 7 wood and this was a good combination. At least, it is still an even flow…

I ended up ordering an Evenflow Riptide LX on closeout for $63.  It was a short lived shaft from PX and all the info I could find would put it as a little bit stouter than the EF Black which is a shaft I get along with if I keep my tempo in check. 

 

I currently have a Gen 4 Hzrdus Black in use that works fine but I'd really like to get something in between the EF Black and Gen 4.

I know you've already picked a shaft, but FWIW I really like the Evenflow Black and D+ but I do not like the Evenflow White. It's hot and cold for me. Bombs followed by shots off the face of the earth and I don't feel what I did differently. 

 

Ping's new tour shafts work well for me as well, but I currently only have one in a hybrid. If you run out of stiffness in the Evenflow Black there is no doubt you can find something stiff enough between D+ and Ping Tour options.

I have a 72g D+ that works as long as I keep a smooth transition but I just don't care for it, I think it's the soft handle.  I really wish I could get a 70g 6.0 EF Black but they just aren't out there. 

 

In reality I have enough shafts that work with my current driver and swing but something makes me keep fiddling around with equipment hoping to find a unicorn.  I blame WRX, lol.

What is the "white" archetype? Isn't the older CK Pro White EI profile fairly similar to the EF White one in this thread?

The "White" archetype of a softer handle with less stiffness loss (usually achieved by less handle taper) leading to a stiffer mid section and medium to stiff tip:



The EF T1100 is the darker line here against a typical White Mitsubishi profile. Basically different in every segment. The goal of the "White" profile via Mitsubishi's standards is to produce a more stable, linear feeling shaft with less kick that stands up to higher speeds. The EF White having "White" in the name isn't any indication of similarity in this case with a far less "linear" design with the bigger hinge in the middle. Performance wise they honestly wouldn't be terribly different due to how stiff the EF White's tip is, but the mid section feel will be very different for players that load the shaft enough.
