I have the smaller bag - it is excellent as I am sure the larger one will be too. My bag is much admired and brilliant quality. Waterproof with strong materials & zips and nicely balanced. Will last forever. The larger one will carry full set. Perfect if you limit the paraphernalia you carry, wearing the right clothes, all weather gloves, no need for umbrella & heaps of towels and layers of clothing just in case. I don't need dozens of balls - maybe others do! 100% thumbs up from me!

Been meaning to add to this thread for a while, mainly to say thanks to @zlawson36 for adding such a detailed review.

I got myself a Koger a couple of months ago, mainly after reading the great review on Pluggedingolf but much helped by your write up here!

I’m in the UK, play a links and wanted to carry a half set 100% of the time. I play at least three times a week in all weathers. Was very tempted by Mackenzie (and will no doubt get one at some point!) but wanted something simple, durable, functional and well crafted and Koger fit the bill exactly.

I went for the same light grey large and it is perfect. Played in torrential rain and the bag held up fantastically. Love the high level quality and care - the zips and strap are great. Really love supporting small companies like Koger who care about what they’re making.

Delivery and service were excellent and I tracked every step of its journey from Sweden!

A few surprising additional benefits for me personally:

1. umbrella - previously I was always fussing about an umbrella and felt like I had to carry one if there was any chance of rain. I was therefore a bit worried about the lack of rain hood or umbrella loop. Now I don’t even bother with one. When I play in rain I just drape my towel over the top, wear good quality rain gloves, rain suit and a bucket hat and play. It’s a revelation; feels easier and oddly energising to embrace the weather instead of hiding from it. The bag kept everything important dry. After the round, empty the bag in few minutes, wipe down and it’s as good as new the next day.

2. Minimalism - buying the Koger was part of a change in my approach; sold my push trolley and clubs and got a half set of blades, plus 2 iron, mini driver and putter. Even sold my GPS watch! Now golf feels so much more enjoyable and engaging. Carrying a light bag, laying your bag next to your ball, thinking about your shot and giving it a swipe! Having fewer clubs has made no difference to my scores and the joy of a well struck, knocked down iron is unparalleled.

3. trestle sticks - I didn’t order any but Koger kindly included some. I thought trestle sticks “weren’t for me”; too fussy and self-conscious. However, I’ve done a full 180 and now use them regularly and they’re so handy!

If you’re considering a Koger, I would highly recommend.

Great review, I really love the simplicity of the bag. What course is that? I long for a trip to the UK so I can see links golf first hand.

It really is a beauty!

I play at Wallasey, an Old Tom Morris traditional links with great dunes not far from Hoylake. We’re blessed here with a brilliant selection of links within an hour or so: Hoylake, Wallasey, West Lancs, Formby, Hillside, Southport and Ainsdale and Birkdale! Definitely a place to base yourself if you make it over.
