Adidas Tech Response 4.0?

So I bought a pair of these golf shoes for $25 last night, brand new with tags and tissue still stuffed inside at a local thrift store. I had tried on a pair or two previously or maybe the 3.0 or 2.0 model, but hadn’t committed to buying them at full retail price at the time. They fit nice, and feel pretty good, not as narrow as most of Adidas’s shoes feel on my wide feet, but looking around online, something doesn’t sit quite right with me:

If you search for Tech Response 4.0 or 4.0WD as the tag says, I can only find listings on eBay, Mercari, Poshmark, and the odd Amazon link, but not single link to a golf retailer of any reputable value. Adidas US doesn’t even list them, just the 3.0 model on their site. So that combined with the odd stitch at the top of the toe that you can see in my photos below on the right shoe, makes me wonder if these are not in fact genuine Adidas shoes.

They look and feel just as nice as the 3.0s I’ve tried on elsewhere, I’m just trying to avoid wearing another golf shoe like my previous pair of Adidas University golf shoes which I tore the soles clean off both shoes playing one round last year.

Anybody own a pair of these? Are they genuine? Thanks!

I have gotten 2 pair of those in the past....solid, low cost shoe for summer/dry conditions - nice score!

I have 5 pair of Tech Response, Tech Response 2 in White, Black and Gray. They're a great budget shoe. Very light, roomy, comfortable, and importantly... machine washable.

The mesh on white ones, gets dirty, sweaty, and funky looking pretty quick. Especially after getting them wet.

No problem. Just smather a little Dawn on them and throw em in the washer.

From what I recall, Adidas recycled the Tech Response model numbering around a decade ago. I found this 2013 reference to the 4.0 which looks to be what the OP has.
