How much difference does the upgraded shaft make? Do they feel way better than the stock shafts that are $400 less?

Tough question, all based on perspective. I am big TPT fan and truly love the feel of the shaft... I tried the accra and I noticed a large difference between the two.  The feel on the TPT is awesome but the big benefit is, it's crazy stable. I am like my stuff super heavy and as I have more weight, I can feel the Accra move and not stay as stable.

At the same time if budget is a concern the Accra is a fine shaft and will work for 90 percent of users.

I use a white hot currently. Can some Compare the feel of white hot to mezz max?

im hoping it still feels fairly soft/muted.

should have my broom next week to try!

So in my opinion white hot is the softest insert face ever... Mezz max feels closer to a scotty feel in my eyes. I will say the TPT shaft makes the Mezz feel much softer. Anything you switch to from that face may feel "harder" but just have to know where you're starting from. Maybe try some other putters in your fit just get a better baseline of milled face feels. Overall love the Mezz max feel. Try the Lab link one if they have it, I think that thing is crazy soft lol.

Also don't want to get too nerdy but mess around with balls. Putt with a Pro V1, chrome soft, etc and see if it hits the feel you're looking for. You will see a difference.

I just ordered the Chrome Tour as that was the best ball data and feel wise for this year. I really have no idea how it will feel but am excited to try it. I have used White hot, Milled and just flat faces prior. The shaft I got the broom in was a Accra. I couldn't justify paying over 700 used for a putter with the TPT shaft when I don't even know if I will like it or use it. I think the specs are exactly the same as your putter but Accra vs TPT.

I hear yea. I did go heavy weights in the head and that's where I noticed the biggest difference in shafts. The TPT just handled the extra weight better.

Also, most of the youtube golf influencers have the 10 percent off lab codes floating around, hopefully you used one!

Actually bought mine used from a member on here for a pretty smoking deal! I'm excited to try it, looks like it will be delivered Monday or Tuesday!

My bf is thinking of going to this method. He is a lefty, but golfs and putts right handed.

So he was thinking of a left handed broomstick putter because he is way more coordinated with a left hand underhand motion (is that the right terminology?), or lower hand than if he goes with a right hand broomstick, which is is totally uncoordinated with a right hand under hand motion.

We are talking about the pros and cons.

What is your guys take on this?

Thanks.

Woof. Tough question. Anytime you have a unique situation like this I highly recommend you go to your local golf shop and see if they have any broomsticks in stock (doesn’t have to be lab). If they don’t have any in stock you can always take a broom and have him get the feel of a longer item. I mean if he’s putting right handed right now I have a hard time visualizing him switching back to left. I would argue that the anchor hand might be the most important piece in this setup. Broomsticks almost take way your lower hand. Plus with broomsticks… think rolling the ball vs putting.  It’s weird but if he gets one that will resonate.

You said rolling a ball!
He just watched a LAB broomstick video on YouTube and the LAB guy said the exact same thing, it’s like rolling a ball. My bf is a klutz throwing right handed, but is comfortable throwing with his left.
Thanks for your reply.

If he bowls, throws darts, plays butt, or shoots a basketball lefty then a lefty broom may the way to go.

Thinking of going with a broom. I know the online fitting is probably the  way to go. Question though is what would be the reason why anyone would be fitted with anything other than 79.5 lie?

I think it might be a cardinal sin to go anything else than 79.5. Sam the ceo of lab talks about staying on plane is what broomsticking is all about. I guess the 79.5 is the easiest to keep on plane since it’s the most upright you can get. Sam said like 97 percent of anll broomsticks are all 79.5.  All that being said Adam Scott is somewhere between 76-77 degrees.

My experiment is over. Not for me. Felt great and lines were amazing but I really struggled to dial in speed.

it’s up for sure in the classifieds!

I will absolutely try to find another lab in different set up though. It felt great

yup, me too. Scratched the itch but I have moved over to a standard length DF3.

what’s your thoughts on that?

m thinking of trying armlock in mezz maxx

hows the feel off the face with df3 va mezz? I was happier with the feel then I thought, it wasn’t clicky like I expected.

The DF3 just makes me so comfortable with putting, both feel great but there are better feeling putters out there. The DF3 goes straight into the bag for sinking more putts and being so damn consistent.

Does the DF have the simliar feel as the mezz maxx?

it’s similar but not the same. The DF3 I have has the standard steel shaft. Both feel great to me but it’s the results that put them in the bag
