Nikon Coolshot Pro II Stabilized carry case

I'm between the Nikon and Bushnell V6. The Nikon case does not seem as user friendly for clipping to a golf bag. Does anyone have experience with this? I currently have an old, large Bushnell that I keep in a bag pocket and not the carrying case. I'd like to hang the rangefinder from the bag for ease of access.

I bought the Jones carry bag for $30 or so, its big and holds my Bushnell with the magnetic wrap around it.

Love it!  I don't have a steady hand, especially while walking.  The Nikon with Stabilization fixed that issue.  Have not had an problem since and that was 2 full seasons ago.  I would stay way from any magnetic cases or straps though.  I've read on other threads where the magnet caused problems with the the stabilization feature.  Good luck

And yes you have to buy the case separately.  It does come with one, but a softer material and does not have a clip.  This one offers more protection.  Highly recommend the case if you get the rangefinder.

Very interested in this RF. Great optics, locks on quickly, good visuals. No jolt though, hmm, not sure about that.

There are visual lock on cues. I don’t know if you’ll miss the jolt in favor of the overall Nikon offering.

I ended up getting the Nikon. The carrying case it comes with is better than I thought. When I looked at it initially I thought it was clipped and needed to squeeze the sides or push it to open it. I ordered the one from above anyway.
 

Do you guys use any sort of sleeve on it or as is? My old bushnell seems much more durable.

I have it in a StickIt Magnetic rangefinder strap and it stays in that all the time. If I’m walking it is in the rangefinder zipper of my bag. If I’m riding, it’s stuck to the cart’s frame. No problems.

I always put my rangefinders in something like this. Grips in the hand a bit better, keeps scratches off, and I don't worry about it banging around.

Would love that, but can't find it anywhere. Does that work on the Pro II?
