Cross Handed Drill

I recently watched a video by Pete Cowen where he recommends stuck flippers to swing or hit balls cross handed.

I was bored recovering from an oblique injury and decided to take some light swings cross handed, the visual results are outstanding.

has anyone tried this extensively? Looking forward to hitting balls tomorrow cross handed.

That's better than I thought it would be. Gonna be a tough SOB to climb over the fence to replace your divot.

I made a new one from the corner of my lawn and used that one to fill it.

A few good players play that way. The most well-known is Josh Broadaway, look up his swing on YouTube. He was pretty successful on the KF tour, played a few PGA Tour events, and destroys the ball. More lag than any swing I’ve seen.

But I do want to know what the “stuck flippers” drill is you mentioned.

It is just hitting balls cross handed. Pete Cowen says it makes it difficult for the club head to get stuck under the plane which causes the early extension and/or flip. When you are playing from on or over the plane, the club naturally wants to work left after impact and your lower body will want to get out of the way. It also forces you to speed up your body rotation or you will shank the living hell out of the ball.
