Brexit question about flight connections. Non political….

I travel to the EU annually, however next year will be my first time going back to the UK post Brexit. I’m looking at flights from Chicago to Manchester that have a layover in Dublin. Will I need to claim baggage in Dublin then recheck them to Manchester? I know in the past they would have been checked all the way through to Manchester, but wasn’t sure if Brexit has changed that.

Checked straight through. Well at least in my experience since the idiots voted for brexit.

Ok great thanks! I read something about no hard border between the UK and Ireland but wasn’t sure how that effected flights. The flight I’m looking at has a 1.5hr layover in Dublin so was just making sure I could connect. How’s the little one?

As long as you are connecting on the same or a partner airline you should be fine.

Thanks, it’s Aer Lingus on each flight so I’ll be good. There’s another flight with BA that connects through Heathrow but I avoid connecting through there due to baggage issues.
