Left handed clubs for guests Sim use - recs needed!

Hello friends -

 

We had people over last night and one of them was a lefty and wasn’t able to participate bc he didn’t bring his clubs. I felt pretty awful. 
 

I need to get a set of left handed clubs to keep in the sim for average to lousy golfers who come over without sticks. 
 

Any recs on what to look for in a general “rental” style set of irons and wedges? Specs, in particular. Was thinking just std lll and regular flex shaft on GI heads. 
 

Thoughts?

Being a lefty myself I've put 2nd swing and callaway preowned to use for things I felt like trying. Good conditions always at a good price. Id start there. PXG makes pretty much every model in left handed and second hand they will be even cheaper!

Specifically for PXG any of the 0211 products are their introductory GI style clubs.

Thanks. I think I keep 2nd Swing, GlobalGolf, CPO, and pxg_express in business by myself, sometimes. 
 

I’m really looking for what would an average lefty “rental” style setup look like, and any specific recommendations one might have. Cheers 🍻

Same buddy my experimental clubs and purchases make these companies their utilities money LOL!

When it comes to callaway stuff I could see a full rental rogue ST setup 1 driver 1 fairway like 5-GW and a jaws sand wedge and an odyssey 2 ball.

I would just get this. If it is a once in a blue moon type situation, it's not going to matter much. At least this has a name attached to it. Being Costco as well if they explode you will have a forever warranty, or close to it. Driver, 1 fwy wood, 1 hyb, 6-SW, putter and bag. If you don't need the bag or putter, sell them and get back about $200.

It would look exactly the same as an average "righty" setup only . . . lefty.  It's just a set of used clubs - sold by the bushel at the places you are familiar with.   Standard length and flip a coin on the shaft flex between R and S.  Basic GI.  Just about any set of Pings would work.

If you decide to go thru ebay, a seller called Quickship ( https://www.ebay.com/str/quickshipgolf?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l161211 )

has left handed Taylormade RBZ clubs, driver/fairway/putter auctions starting at $14.99 and iron sets @ $49.99. Shipping is reasonable and I believe they will combine. The irons sets seem to have multiple bids, but I believe the other clubs usually stay near their opening auction price. I have them saved in my search as I've picked up some clubs at an great price and even the pre-owned have always been in above average condition. I have not connection to them, just found a great source for left handed clubs.

Tell us you’re an average lefty player without saying you’re an average lefty player?

What clubs are you playing now, and what don’t you like about them? Ask yourself that, then go ask to hit a few sets that might address those concerns.

I’m a righty. I play Miz Pro 225 or Epon EF-01i irons. I love them both.

 

I need something for an average lefty. The question has been laid on the table.

In fairness, he sorta has a point (although maybe not said well).  You're obviously not new to golf, so what are we going to be able to tell you about lefty equipment that you don't already know from right handed stuff?

 

Isn't the average lefty rental bag pretty much the same as the average right handed rental bag (based of course on what manufacturers deem lefty worthy)?

 

Here are the Taylormade lefty rental sets listed on one of the internet rental services.  You can get other manufacturers too, they pretty much look the same just swap out the other OEM's offerings:

There have been very good recommendations, including this, in this thread. People come here for club recommendations all the time. Just because I have Epon clubs doesn’t mean I know what would be a reasonably good set of golf clubs for a left handed guest. I do not follow the releases closely, and I don’t play the style of clubs I need to purchase. 
 

What’s the problem here?
