Did anyone else receive the email

from Ryp stick today regarding the app “upgrade” and paid subscription service?

For those who didnt receive the email, basically you must now pay for their Pro Plan in order to use the app. (They are offering a free year for current members).
Did i miss a previous email or did they just do this without any warning?
You cant even “browse” tutorials without joining.
Really disappointing.

There is still currently a free version not sure it would be worth paying for a “pro” plan…

I completely understand the idea and appeal to these companies for a subscription system. But I hate it..

Only Level 1 will Be free. They must have gotten a bunch of feedback bc i just received a second email saying “first year is free”.
They should Let you use basic sessions for free. Then have extras if you would like to pay, maybe personalized sessions.
I definitely wouldnt have purchased this if i knew the app was going to be extra.

I just reluctantly upgraded. But when i go to my session a window pops up and says unless you upgrade you get reset to level 1. I emailed CS. Just curious if anyone has gotten last that step.

Very disappointed. The first email said it would be free for loyal customers who have been long time customer’s but then there was no info so I inquired and found out it’s only a year free. Part of the appeal of Rypstick over stack was the free training app versus paid but that’s gone now.

💯 same reason i choose it.

I didnt completely read the directions…u need to log out then the “pro” subscription kicks in and you can access your previous completed training sessions.
