Does the carbon sole make a big difference? The only thing different is a carbon sole plate right? Never had a pair of carbon so just wondering if it’s worth the extra $.

Makes the shoe a bit more rigid vs non carbon.

Definitely makes the shoe stiffer. I prefer them over the regular ones which I find lose support after a lot of walking.

A little stiffer as mentioned which provides some incremental stability I think

Also depending on the carbon placement you could get more energy rebound which makes walking easier. Something like the HyperFlex is more for stability being more towards the arch/heel where the ProSLX is more across the foot.

For me, the Carbon were much better but I prefer a very stable shoe that has a stiffer platform. A bonus was they felt more comfortable.

I also like the carbon much better than the standard version. IMO worth the extra $$

I prefer the carbon versions. In addition to the soleplate, the carbons have a thicker footbed and thicker ankle cushioning. I find them to be more form fitting and comfortable. The carbon sole plate makes the sole noticeably more rigid. I personally like that but players who like a more 'free' moving shoe might prefer the standard versions.
