Thoughts: Zx7/5 combo vs t150/200 combo?

Alright, I recently hit a set of t150s and thought, damn these are great. I’m currently playing a set of Miura CB302s with Oban Ct 115 x’s and love them but wow. I was blown away by how easy the t150s were. They had project x LZ shafts in stiff.

anyways it’s a new year and I need a second set of irons. I’m debating on zx7/5 combo or a set of t150/200s.

what has everyone’s experience been with ease of hitting, forgiveness, feel, and performance between the two sets?

Have had both . I’d go zx7/5. Heaps easier to hit for me

Interested in this as well as I went in looking to only hit zx7 for the combo set but also hit the t150 to try out the $ taper shaft and really liked the t150 as well.

I play a ZX5/7 combo and I love this set. I appreciate the extra speed and launch I get from the 5/6/7 irons and the blending is pretty seamless IMO. I never look down to see an iron that looks like it doesn't belong in the set.

Srixon's all day. I had the opposite experience w/the 150's, hit them and thought meh.

I just went through this fitting yesterday. I had hit both with random shafts the last few weeks and love the look of the zx7 and had about 90% chance of walking away with them and a zx5 or zx utility for the 4. 2 hours for the fitting and the t150’s were not to be denied. I have a steep swing and tend to gravitate to toe shots.

the t150’s launched 1.5* higher, and brought my land angle to 50* with a 7 iron. Not a lot different but will help in the long irons. My toe strikes retained more ball speed (lost maybe 1-2mph) and a stock swing gave me 2-3mph more of ball speed so it allowed us to increase the loft by a degree from 6-PW. The tungsten in the t150 was likely the difference maker. I’m going back once built to dial in the 5i distance and then decide on the 4i to fit a specific gap bt 5i and 5w.
- forgiveness was better in the t150 but I never hit the heel so can’t comment on heel misses. Thin shots were also better with t150.
- shot shape was similar but t150 was more consistent 3 yard draw, higher and was 150 rpms lower in spin (good thing for me)

- feel always very subjective. Zx7 felt a touch softer but like the crisp, softness of the t150 more. The t150 face is faster feeling.

both are great and could play either but the t150 were better for me.
