I’m playing well this summer by using a very forgiving iron set. G410. In fact my iron game is on point. So like a true WRX’er, that means it’s time to cruise Marketplace for something to kill the momentum. 😂. Enter 12 year old blades. Let’s do this!! For $250 CAD, it could be fun. 
MP69 6-P. GH950 stiff (love these actually). Mint grips with no need to regrip. The perfect guilt free itch to scratch.
Before my time with stronger lofts, I knew my ISI BeNi 34 7i was my 162 carry club with a 46 PW at 125 carry. I’ll go with that. No range time for me with these. Straight to the first tee in the morning. 🤞.

Haha. I grew up playing mp-29 (2-P). Once Titleist came out with a Muscleback iron I always went back to them. Of course, I  had affairs with Nike VR, Callaway apex MB, p7TW but I’m back to Titleist with a date with Avoda irons.

I found a cheap set of Hogans that set me back $155, liked them enough to want something a little newer and bought a set of PXG blades.  I like both, but the PXG may kick the T200’s out of the rotation permanently.  I find this forum to be a sickness to my wallet.  I may need help with my club ho problem.

Great choice.  I own several mizuno blades and the 69's are my favorite... even over the 33's.

Looking forward to your recap.  Hit them a little on the heel side... the sweet spot isn't in the middle of the club.

Well that round was Uber fun. Played my home course today where I’m usually pleased with 78/79ish. Today was 74. While the MP69 did not deliver the powerful punch that my G410’s do, what they did offer were 5 or 6 of the most pure iron shots in my recent memory. 8iron from 152 flushed to 4ft on the par3 15th. 6i from 182 pured to pin high on the 6th hole Par4. 9i from 142 as a second shot on 17 that felt and looked almost too good. Pitch marks on the sweet shots were 2ft from the ball and the ball flights had purpose. 
I walked off 18 with a cheeky grin. There was a pulled 7i from 164 that felt flushed but I turned it over too much. User error. A skinny 9i didn’t feel great but it happens. 
 

These just had me looking a shots differently. Instead of mindless centre of the green thoughts, I started to look at how to “play”, what tiers the pins were on, and what kind of swing I needed to deliver to the ball. I loved it. These are worth investing some time with.

You are dead on correct. I found a tad heel side to be the way for sure.
