R7 TP headcovers

why does nobody use them?

I seem to really like the magnetic TP headcover but nobody out on tour ever seems to have one in the bag. Personally I never used it, when I was with TM I threw on an old R500 TP headcover because my caddy says the R7 TP was a pain in the @$$ to get on. Anyone else feel the same way? Now with these new sweet yellow TP headers I've got to put a Launcher heady to hide it, I can never win. :) I just wanted everyones opinion on it & if you use the stnd. R7 headcover.

Not really sure. Then again, I never got into vanity plates either. :)

i think beruo hit it right on the head. its not really wise for people to advertise the 800 dollar golf club they have, just in case someone passes by the bag with some sticky fingers. two of my co-workers actually had the old r7 tp and used the magnetic cover and said it used to stick to some of their irons. when they'd go to pull it out of the bag they'd take a few irons with them as well. the head cover sure is nice to look at and the magnetic idea is pretty clever but i think that the r7 head cover is more a hassle then conveinence.

I owned an R7TP for a brief period of time. The headcover sure is sharp, but the headcover was a pain to get on and off.

 

I now use on my R580XD TP the R500 TP headcover and it is a breeze.

I just keep a regular R7 headcover on my TP.

I use it on mine, I like the magnet idea and I think it's easier then the standard R7 headcover. I can see peoples point about not wanting to advertise an expensive club but I don't let my clubs go out of my sight for long.

I had one too, but after one try, i never used it again. Just preferred the normal R7 HC a lot more!

I used mine on my R7, of course i only used the club one round, i never liked the club, so the headcover never made any difference to me.

The headcover is a pain in the butt but I'll keep using mine until Taylor Made come out with one with a Canadian flag on the top where the R7 is.

It is hard to put in on and off...

 

but once i got used to it, it's pretty cool...

 

and for sure it looks my bag a lot better with R7TP H/C AND R7FWY H/C AND SCOTTY SSS...

i understand nobody wants to advertise a $800 driver but im talking guys i've played on the Hooters/CGT with & PGA Tour guys, why they aren't using them, the only reason i can come up with is my caddy said it was a pain in the a**. but my clubs are never left anywhere alone, i know at a tour event i will not get anything stolen, but thats up to my caddy.

Had been using the TP Hc for some time, and like some1 else said whenever I pull the driver out, some other irons get pulled as well due to the magnetic strip running down the HC. I have since switched to the regular r7 HC as the TP 1 was quite pain to use

ya know i have an r7 and love it to death but i really didn't use the headcover. yeah sure it was a pain in the xxxx to put on but i never really used it because i found a Ram headcover online (school mascot).the cover is just as if not more of a pain in the Word not allowed but it looks better. :)

i was thinking about looking for a retail R7 headcover in the new scheme but finally realized that i would have a Cleveland headcover in the bag anyways & would never use the R7 headcover.

we see a lot of guys on the tours using them. Looking throught the PGA WITB pics you see a lot of them.

I found my TP magnetic cover quite easy to use compared to the standard R7 cover, but on the course I use a standard, plain black headcover to draw attention away from my clubs.

 

I saved for a year to buy my stuff & spent at least that long tuning it all to fit me---and I'm not keen on having someone carry them off because my neon red "look at me" headcover caught their attention from 100 yards away. :)
