Urgent help required

Just setting up my skycaddie.

Downloaded desktop from website

followed on screen instructions on connecting GPS unit

Installation complete, please go to direct connect.

Right then done all that successfully so went to start new account, filled out the form clicked nxt, Keeps coming up saying please verify internet connection (done that) I've turned off all firewalls, but it still won't work.

Any Ideas?

Hmm,

trying to remember the same issues I had with mine.

It is a software issue from my memory.

check the version of software that you have vs what is downloaded.

The unit is getting confused in the upgrade process. It took the help from the club pro to see the difference between his PC and mine with the SkyCaddie software.

I kept unplugging/replugging my father in laws until the update worked....

no problems since.

But a PITA for sure!

I don't know what version you have, but make sure you have the cord connected correctly. I have the SG4 and the cord will connect backwards - go figure. The unit will charge, but will not connect to the service. Why anyone would make a cord that connects more than one way is beyond me. How about just plugging it in like 99.9% of the cords in the world? Anyway, check it out. It might be as simple as that. It was for me. Good luck.

I got the sg 2.5 only goes one way lol
