What is she doing?

What is michelle Wie doing trying to play with the top boys on the PGA tour???? If she thinks she can play with them and make it as a professional dont you think she has to take a look at Annika? If she cant beat Annika there is no hope for her playing the PGA tour. She hardly done anything as an amature. Has she ruined her career already putting so much pressure on her self???

What does everyone else think???

Sponsor Exemptions have put TOO MUCH on this girl ... That right - GIRL ... I would think this is the last one ...

Hopefully her people (advisors) will pull her back and get her ready to play LPGA Events from here on out ... That way she'll develop like she should ...

Agree 100%. Too much pressure, not enough experience. I HOPE the next news from the golf world involving Wie is that she rejects PGA exemptions and concentrates on LPGA.

IMO the LPGA is on the rise, so why shouldn't Wie focus on that tour? It's pretty obvious she can't make a PGA cut, seeing as how she shot +9 on her home course. She at least makes top tens on the LPGA. She should have continued trying to qualify for events such as the US Amateur, pub links etc. She had a much better shot at those.

She belongs on the LPGA tour. Women just can't compete with the men on a week to week consitance basis, and that is just a fact. Regardless of how long michelle is, she just won't have the strength to compete out there. Anika is the stongest womon in womens golf, and there is no way she could play augusta and break par, no way.

Well said guys ! Enough is enough, quit putting yourself through this torture and go play the LPGA. Even if she made the cut, the Big Dogs would totally embarass her on the weekend. Great talent and potential, she just needs to get on the correct stage and stay there.

I think Wie has the potential to make a cut on the PGA. Of course, she came close a few tomes and blew up. I think she is getting to the point where if she continues to try to make cuts on the PGA it may do irrepairable damage to her attitude and mental game. If she had made one of those cuts she flirted with, it would be a different story. I was thinking about this last night watching the ESPN coverage... she performed very well in the LPGA majors last year. If she had just focused on LPGA events, she would have believed in herself and what she can do. Now that she had gone out and performed as she did this weekend, what affect wil that have on her belief in herself and her game once she does go back to LPGA events? Sure, she will be in the press stating she can play better and it is a good learning experience, but is it really? How many 16 year old girls get all screwed up because the other girls at school talk bad about her? Now take that and multiply it 100x when it is the national ind international sports media publically trashing what you are trying to do... I personally think that she is going to end up hurting herself, or actually, her father is pushing her to do things that are going to be deterimental to her development as a golfer. At this point, even if she stops taking these exemtions and goes and is successful on the LPGA for the next 5 years, what is going to be the first thing everyone says when she tries again to make it on the men's tour? Everyone will point out her failings.

Another thought was this... She can only play a specific number of times this year as she never went or made it through q-school a la Pressel. So she has to be smart about which tourneys she takes those exemptions, because let's face it, just about any LPGA event wants her there. So if she can grab a PGA exemption when there is no womens tour event going on, why wouldn;t she (of course this is completely oblivious to my thoughts above)
