Man, I am jealous of you Hawaii guys. :good:

I wish AZ have something established like this.

Calvin....I know there are many Arizona members. One being a former Hawaii Room member. All it takes is 1 guy to sort of take charge and get things organized. I guess because I'm a moderator, I've pretty much been tasked to be that "1 guy". I've been trying to pawn it off on Rick, Tony, Bobby, Joey :cheesy but I keep getting nominated! ;) Good luck on getting something started. :)

You know that your cart patner is in. Otherwise we cant be the Un-official regining cart champs.

Good to hear Bobby! ;) If we don't get more players or opinions on doing Callway Scoring...I'm sure we can just resort to Cart Golf and crush the usual competition again! Barring any ringer, then we'll have to recruit our own ringers! :)

PS..yes..I see you on the bottom of the screen Joey. :good:

Wow, where the heck have I been? This 5th outing discussion has just popped up like a weed!

Hey Pitbull, thanks for the support. The head cashier will definitely assist you the tee times, prizes and anything else you may need. Perhaps we can do Peoria instead of Callaway for scoring?

I know that there are many lurkers who visit the Hawaii Room. I'd like to encourage all of you to come out and have a great day of golf. Don't worry if you're rusty from not playing or are a high handicap because it's the fellowship that matters more. I can honestly say that this is the only place where as a golf professional, I've been called a Hack by double digit handicap. :)

I guess what I'm trying to get at is...NO SHAME! Let's make this the best one yet!

Mr Da Master..what is 6-5? :) Is that football betting? :good:

Peoria is interesting too.....IMO it would throw out the sandbagging on the 15th and 16th hole if you sort of know the Callaway system well. Only problem is the need for more calculations. Sounds interesting enough to give it some more thought.

Anyways...like Joey said, the fellowship is what really counts. If you're worried about "making A"..NO WORRY...I'll do enough of that for everyone. ;)

OKAY....after contacting Joey.....the first post has been updated with times and dates.

Chad..your wish has been answered. :good:

5th GolfWRX Outing

July 27, 2008

First tee time 10:02am......5 Tee Times available. I believe we should be easily able to accommodate 25 players.

We need to have FOR SURE "I'M IN and if I cancel will provide a dozen ProV1's for prizes" by July 23 so we can cancel any times we can't fill.

I hope to see you all...lurkers and active posters of the Hawaii Room there. ALOHA! :)

I'm in!

Actually Bubba, if you ever research ancient Buddhist writings, the number 5 represents Humility and 6 represents a great loss or sorrow. Correctly translated, 6-5 should mean something like "One shall fully realize true humility only through great loss." :)

Of course I am in! Fortunately, I am scheduled to return to Hawaii on July 25th. Just in case, I have a dozen Pro V1s standing by! :D

My cart partner always gets screwed, since he has me to weigh him down! But since he is my sensei, it's his fault anyway! :D Joey, after our "discussion", I promise I will keep myself in the game.

As for the ethereal discourse regarding the symbolism or imagery posited by the "head cashier", I must digress, as I merely possess a rudimentary intellection of such abstractions. Admittedly, I have never been a student of epistemology, so I stand in awe of one so enlightened. I myself could never aspire to such esoteric consciousness, and prefer to subscribe to the unbearable lightness of being. Pidgin translation: "Eh Joey, you pretty smaht eh?" ;) Although my family was Buddhist, I have since converted to Capitalism. That said, the only thing I feel after a "great loss" is P1$$ed @ff! I for one am partial to the feeling I get after six figure gains! :cheesy:

Actually in Buddist writing it means that the pro should be giving strokes to the 20 handicappers. 6 on the front and 5 on the back.

:cheesy: I agree with Bobby!

Since we seem to have gotten :), let's get back :good:. Hope to meet all of the lurkers and occasional posters at the outing.

make it earlier in the month then it will be ok.

Sorry..I'm pretty busy and barely able to plan one month in advance let alone a week. Also, we're hoping the advance notice would actually help get more then the usual amount of guys we get already during our regular cart golf outings.

Well...this post has been up for 5 days and we've got a whopping 5 guys participating with a one month advance to make plans. :cheesy:

I don't know if guys are afraid to join up with people they don't know other then by an avatar...BUT..think about it this way lurkers. Until Golfwrx and the Hawaii Room started...I had never met or played a round with Bobby/mach 1, Tony/Xsfsped, Joey/Da master808 or Rick/Rok78. Now I consider them my close friends and look forward to seeing them on the course. If you're afraid that your score will be lousy..have no fear. Nobody cares what you shoot. Trust me...in 3 outings I've been to, I've shot from +2 to +plenty over. With the amount of practice time I've had in the last two months...1 round and zero range time, I can just imagine how ugly I'll be hitting the ball at the end of July because as it is, I don't see any golf or practicing coming to me in the near future. Really, nobody is attending to show any one up. The only thing we care about is playing fast, plenty laughs and good food at the end.

To put it simply in local language....No be skay'd...you not goin make A. You jus goin be with da boys for a few hours play'n like one lolo with a bunch of other golfin lolo's on da course.

Forget the scores...I'm dropping the idea of Callaway or Peoria. Dropping the prizes too. It's just going to be a meet and greet...hopefully meet some new guys. Come on out and check out the bags. I'm sure there will be some interesting stuff and don't be surprised that you see some familiar faces you've seen every time you've visited Roots or RD's..now you'll know the name that goes with the face!

I really don't want to cancel this outing but if we don't get a bigger turnout, then maybe we'll just have to table this for a few more months. :partytime2:
