Clubmaker Troubles

I'm ticked off now
Alright heres the storey:

I originally bought a set of KZG pc III's from a guy in Oakville called Oakville Golf. It's been less then a year and the stupid irons have black wear spots all over the backs of them. He says that they are normal because of them being in a golf bag. Well I paid $700 for them, and I think I've been ripped off! They are not 10 months old and they look like s***. To go along with that I had a rescue mid 16* reshafted to match my irons. I have hit maybe 10 balls with it in about 2 weeks and the head came off of it! I plan to take all these club back to him this week.

Would I be out of line to ask for some kind of rembursment for the clubs? The head coming off the rescue should have never happened. The irons might now have been his fault but the company should be doing something over this. What should I ask for? When I bought the irons he was 3 weeks late and the rescue was a week late. I took the irons into him not to long ago when I took the rescue in and I asked him what he could do, he called KZG and he said he would call me when he heard back from them. Still waiting for that call

Can you post some pics. I don't know exactly what you mean by "black wear spots." Also, refresh my memory, but the pc3's, they're not forged are they--they are the game improvement model? At any rate, it sounds like customer service at your clubmaker is not exactly up to par. Call or email KZG and let them know the problems. As for your iron wear, might be pretty normal. Although you say the clubs are only 10 months old, they have been used for over 1 golf season. Titleist's forged stainless models are notorious for looking "seasoned" after a just a few rounds. If the spots don't affect playability, I'd focus on that (I do sympathise though--I like perdy clubs myself), and enjoy them while they work. Good luck on resolution with your shop though. Let us know how it goes. :cheesy:

The rescue should be fixed at no cost. Beruo's right, those irons are cast, and will be similar to the Titlesit 704 or 735 SS models, where they show black marks around the back from simple bag wear. You could invest in some iron covers, but IMO those are a pain. Maybe you could upgrade them to some of the KZG forged irons?

Sorry about the late reply. Unfortunanly I can't get the pics up but I have good news. The rescue is being fixed for free the club maker said that it almost never happens with him and that he was really sorry. As far as the irons go as of Friday I will be the very proud owner of a set of KZG forged evoulutions. KZG is going to warrenty them because of how new they are. Joe, (my club guy) said that he has never seen anything like this happen before.

Holy crap! I just saw your whats in the bag, man you have alot of clubs lol. You could pay for a car with the value of those clubs lol.

It's a funny storey about the Evolutions and me, my club maker was making fun of me to my friend Dave about how I'm to cheap to go forged. And then David's like he's not good enough to play them they are a real mans club, and my dad called and said but the forged I'll pay the up charge. lol
