Diamana Blue Board Shaft

What are you thoughts on this shaft?

I was thinking of picking up a Taylor Made Tour Burner with a Blue Board S upgrade - price is right. If you have hit this shaft what are your thoughts? I have been playing a Titleist 905T with a Grafalloy Blue S and a Ping G10 with a ProLaunch Red S.

My SS is 105-109. Ball speed 155-160. Spin 3200. Thanks for your input.

It's probably one of the best shafts ever made? I don't think that too much of a stretch. Diamana's are amazing - feel, consistency, performance... everything is there.

A whiteboard wouldn't kill you, though.

Gotta agree with you there. Really a great shaft.

I would try and get the Burner on the launch monitor and see if the spin rates are ok.

I recently picked up an R7 425 that was a demo with the 63g Blueboard and love it. Not sure that it is producing the optimum numbers for me, but it's at least as long as my old Fuji RE AX and a lot more consistent.

I tried the D2 with a 63g blueboard stiff and really liked. But opted for the VS proto because it was much cheaper and gave similar launch numbers. But I liked it so much, I put an 83g S in my 3 wood. My SS is similar to yours, but I feel like my 3 wood flexes a little on my downswing. It does feel very solid though. I would go on a launch monitor. You may want to consider an X as well. Your SS is borderline between S & X. Just make sure you get on a launch monitor first to get it right.

Diamana BB is a shaft that will always be a legend. It is in the same class as the Fuji 757 Speeder. They are what other shafts are judged against.

The only think that kicked my Blueboard out of my driver was an Ozik F6M2, but that shaft will set you back about $500. I got mine for free, actually I got the Blueboard for free and was told to pull it in favor of the Ozik. I do what my source tells me and I have been very happy since.

Blueboard is a great shaft and will be awesome in a Tour Burner head.

The Diamana is an excellent shaft and will not dissappoint. I'd put it in my top 5.

Amazing shaft. So much better than the many matrix shafts i have tried and up there with my favorite shaft ever the 757. It is so smooth, long, and feels amazing. You wont be disappointed. To me the whiteboard does not have the same butter soft feel and just didnt fit me quite as well.

Thanks for the input. I agree with launch monitor advice, but the only shops around don't have a BB to hit. I did hit the TP with a Fuji Rombax 75 S - I know apples and oranges. My spin was the lowest with TM Tour Burner, but again, it was a different shaft. My spin number are high regardless, but luckily, I don't have much sidespin. I do have a problem with ballooning from time to time.

i recently picked up a tp diamana blueboard 83s and put it in a r7 425 tp, much better shaft, i have around the same swing speed u do, takes the left side completely out of play for me, much better consistency, much more predictable, better ball flight and it seems longer, my playing partners say i am longer.

i was playing a superquad 1st ed tp with tp rombax 75s, the blueboard kicked that out of the bag - i ordered another blueboard to replace the tp rombax

Blue board is a great shaft, great feel. Not so much vibration for off center hits, and the shaft feels extremely stable if u try to hit harder than your normal.

Got a Matrix F6m2 to replace, but very disappointted with the results considering the price difference.

If you have the money, go with the BB. You simply can't go wrong - unless spin is your issue in which case try both the BB and the WB.

See if you can find an Aldila VS Proto. It will give similar launch and spin numbers to the BB. The feel is not as good though.

Price wise, blue board is cheaper. Feel, ball flight and feedback, all blue board. I may sell my F6M2, very disappointed. But dispersion is alrite, F6M2 feel stiffer than Xcon and code, very near to blue board, but not good enough i think.

BB 63x in a g10 7.5 here. my numbers are similar to yours (ball speed may be a touch lower). Stable, smooth, consistent. I'd compare it to driving in a nice mercedes :)
