Amazing set of Irons, extremely forgiving and easy to get the ball up effortlessly. Lovely ball flight. Easily a club length longer than my earlier Callaway FT I-Brid Irons. I went with the Graphite Stiff Flex as I found these suiting my game better than the Regular Flex. A bit pricy but when something suits your game - price is not a constraint.

During 2008 I went through a used set of Miz MX-23, G-10s, TM Burner XD, and finally settled on the 08 R7 CGBs (Graphite Shaft, Reg). The MX-23s were very nice, but shortest of the irons and not as forgiving off the toe; the G-10s were forgiving, but not as long as the XDs. The XDs are shorter than the CGBs, less forgiving, and not as pleasing to the eye IMHO. The CGB is long and the ball flight can be controlled. Feel around the greens...well I also went through a myriad of wedges...the CGBs are still in the bag. I do play Pro V1s...they seem to match perfectly with the CGB irons. I don't hit the 4 iron and a 5-PW/SW/GW option would have been nice. After about 8 months with the CGBs, I thought it would be nice to get a 2nd set for some of the different Hawaii courses. So I hit some demo MX-25s, MX-200s, and Cobra S9s...all were superior in terms of "feel" off the sweet spot, however, immediately thereafter, there was no comparison in distance or forgiveness...or appearance. Again, and this is but my humble opinion and experience--they have yet to produce a game improvement iron that comes close to the quality and performance of the 2008 R7 CGB Irons.
