Neo vs. Skycaddie 2.5 vs. Golflogix

I am looking at these 3 models for purchase. They each seem to have pros and cons.

 

Neo- cheap $, has all my courses. I worry if this company will be around for a long time.

 

Skycaddie- Little more $, more features, has my courses. $50 a year seems steep though not a deal breaker. I also hear some satellite issues at times?

 

Golflogix- Garmin backing so I feel perhaps they are the "safest" to stick around for the long haul.

 

I know there are threads on these gps devices but I'm just looking for any feedback to help me make my decision on any/all of these gps. I want something that's reliable and will be around for me to enjoy for the long haul. Thanks for any feedback and info.

I can only comment on the neo and sg 2.5 because I've only seen those on the course with playing partners. The sg 2.5 is, in my opinion, far better than the neo just based on the intelligreen feature alone. The neo isn't bad, but the 2.5 can be had for 200-225$ right now and will probably get cheaper.

 

You may also want to consider a non-color golf guru-it has a feature similar to intelligreen and you can add points on each hole to your map. No annual fee also

 

I would only get the neo if that is all that your budget allows. You will like the 2.5 better

Maybe someone else can give an opinion on the golflogix, but the 2.5 is getting cheaper every day it seems and it works great.

 

On your satellite q's-- The older skycaddies had some problems. The sg 2.5 and sg 5 work well

agreed about the satellite on the Skycaddie 2.5. It is very strong.

 

I had a 3.0 and it was weak.
