Tungsten plugs...Who does this?

Laguna 2.5

I bought a SC Studio Stainless Laguna 2.5 from a fellow WRX'er here. I am planning to cut it down from 35" to 33.5" and have it tungsten-plugged. (assuming its standard weight is 330g). I wonder who does this type of modification. I've heard that Custom Shop won't change the headweight for SS models. So, I guess I have to send it to a custom putter builder. Any info is appreciated.

I had Tom Slighter do that to a Studio Stainless Newport 2 for me and he did a great job. Just know there will be a limit to how much weight he can add. www.slightergolf.com.

why not put a heavier shaft and grip on it, or add tip weight to shaft.

Thanks for your suggestion. I didn't know that putting a heavier shaft and grip would achieve the same effect. Maybe I'll go for the cheaper option.

George Palombi put these in to achieve a headweight I requested, but it was on his own putter design.

I am also thinking about having some tungsten weights put in one of my putters...I'm curious about the price for this as well...Anyone?

I'll second the vote for Tom Slighter's work on the tungsten plugs. He is very skilled and has done several putters that turned out incredible.

Worth the effort of checking him out.
