My Custom Shop Story

I placed an order on January 30, 2009 to have a Pro Platinum Newport II refinished, with some slight modifications. Today, March 10, 2009, I receive an email that my putter has shipped! I track the shipment on FedEx.com and realized the estimated delivery date is this Friday. Unfortunately, I am leaving Friday morning for a golf vacation down in Florida, (I would love to use my newly customized putter while I play down there!) I call the Custom Shop and explain my situation. After being put on hold, the lady tells me they will 2-Day Air the putter at no extra cost to me.

 

I could not be any happier! I will be posting pictures of the putter once it is received.

Wow, it took 6 weeks to get a putter back and they didn't 2 day it back to you?

 

I hope you love it, 6 weeks seems like a really long time to me.

Order was placed on January 30th, they received the putter on February 5th. It only took 33 days from the quoted 45 days for restoration. I'm not complaining.

Great service. +1 for the CS. I've sent 2 putters there (not for a refinish though), and got them both back within 3 weeks.

I have to say that is tremendous customer service! Got to hand it to the Custom Shop for surpassing the expectation of a customer. (cool)

How much did that restoration cost?

 

33 days is a long time to get a restoration done. It is great that they got it done 12 days earlier than you were quoted.
