Nike One Tour

Has anyone given these a shot

I was just wondering if any nike fans had played the new One tour ball yet. I have not had a chance to play them but wanted some feedback on how they play before I pull the trigger on these. My SS is around 115 so if anyone has played them with higher SS, i would love to hear about it. Thanks!

very little difference than the Nike One Platinum

I played it in Florida for 4 rounds. Nice ball. I played alone the first few rounds so I played 2 balls. The Nike Tour D and TM Burner - The Nike was constantly longer than the burner. I know it's double the price but u get the drift. It's a nice ball. Soft around the greens, fells fantastic, .....

 

Im playing it this year.

I've played both and to be honest, I cannot tell the difference between the OP and Otour. Both are outstanding balls and if there are differences, I'm not good enough to notice/describe them. (Hdcp +.2)

My driver SS is 100-105. I played the NOP most of last year and loved it - except for the occasional ball dropping out of the sky on a flushed drive or backing up off the green on some approaches. The ball was excellent for putting and around the green. So, I was a bit concerned what Nike's tinkering would bring.

 

I think the Bag Chatter commentary is largely accurate. With the One Tour (5 rounds with it so far this year), I feel that Nike has made just the right adjustments without too much sacrifice to feel. Compared to the NOP, it has much better distance on tee shots and on approaches it is more hop-and-stop than backup, but spins plenty when asked to. This behavior suits my game perfectly. Durability is typical of premium balls, so no surprises there. This year I have tested the B330, B330RX, B330S, ProV1, Callaway Tour i and ix. Conclusion: the Nike One Tour beats them all and will be my game ball in 2009.

Finding much the same thing here. I am just waiting for the courses to dry out some so I can get a better idea of the spin and stopping power that the Nike One Tour is going to give me. Loving everything about the ball right now and currently it sits above the Pro V1. I have not tried the new Pro V1 (09) but I have a dozen sitting in m bag. As soon as I blow through my last sleeve of last years Pro V1 I'll be able to compare the new cover material to that of the Nike. The older Pro V1's shred quite easily but seem to spin the best. I'm okay with that sacrifice unlike most people. But the Nike One Tour will be my everyday ball because I can play many rounds with the same ball. I'll bring out the Pro V1's on harder (firmer) more demanding courses where there is a premium on spin. That is how it stands now atleast.

To me the One Tour is much harsher when putting. It feels clunky compared to the One Plat, however, it does go further of the driver which is a plus as the One PLat used to be shorter off the tee compared to other permium balls.

 

I'm undecided whether to stock up on Plats or use the new ball.
