I have the TB1000 Forged and an old set of Tour Blade 600s.

 

The TB1000 Protos look like an in-betweener of the 2 sets. I was looking for these originally but couldn't find them at a decent price almost 2 years ago. I ended up with the TB1000 Forged.

 

The TB1000 Forged are not that hard to hit for a blade. The TB1000 Forged has a centered sweetspot. There is weight manipulation inside the muscle. I wonder if there is the same in the Proto since the muscle is different. The Protos are supposedly softer than the Forged versions.

 

Joe can you take pics of the sole, to check for width and grind?

 

My equipment budget for the next 6 months has been spent the past 4 weeks, so I will just look.

Just bought a set of the Mac ProCMs, a Crew's driver, a Mac driver, and a BC7. I'm good for the next 4-6 months :)

 

The TB1000 Forged are still my gamers so far. It would be too strange to have 2 sets that are supposedly the same yet not?

I can't remember what are the differences between proto and retail, for sure they are not the same material.

 

I'll try to take a picture on the sole from one used set that i'm working at the moment for another customer/friend.

Would this be too much club for person like me who has 19 handicap?

I play custom fitted Golfsmith G40 and Srixon I-701 Tour and have no problem playing them

It maybe stupid to ask how forgiving the Fourteen blade is....

I don't think hdcp can be the only thing to judge here IMO...

 

A lot of players out there are a better striker than their hdcp but with a not so good short game can easily become a 20hdcp.

 

Those two club you've mention are not much bigger than most modern blade out there and this FOURTEEN is one of the bigger size head than most blade out there....You can be the only person to judge yourself from this IMO.

 

I'm sure some of them who played this club could share some more opinions on this issue.
