Who's Playing Them?

After hitting the spilt cavity VR yesterday I am wondering who is play the VR series and what model they are playing. I read the Nike web site and wondering if Glover and Cink are still playing the CCi?

LOTS of people on this site are playing the splits and blades - Full cavity not so much.

 

I love my split / blade combo set. Can't say enough good things about them.

I just received my nike vr splits yesterday and all i can say is wow. I love these irons much better than my x20's. I have already played a tournament with these and placed 4th which is better than i would have thought. They have great feel and i like them much more than mp-57 and the x22 tours and x forged. I just got 3-pw but i like the idea of the 7-pw of the blades, but being an amateur and high school golfer, i figure ill just get the 3-pw and go from there. They have great feel and i can work the ball great with them, plus they look great!

That would be me. I'm a 14 Handicapper and play the split. My iron game is sound, but by no means perfect. the majority of my issues has nothing do with an iron (mostly around the greens).

 

that being said, they are difficult if you are not a precise, repeatable ball striker, but they make you work hard and the results are great.

I just got a combo set of VRs (5-PW blades and 2-4 splits). Both are great clubs! Never been a Nike golf guy and these are my first ever Nike clubs, but they are surprisingly sweet. The VR blades are quite forgiving compared to other blades.

 

While the splits are solid as well, I regret getting them in my 3 and 4 irons. I hit them way too high and the offset is noticeably more to my eye. Thought I could use the added forgiveness in the long irons, but may be replacing them with the blades. To me, the blades feel more solid at impact over the splits.

I have the full cavities and love them. Great game improvement clubs without looking like shovels. These are some of the most underated clubs out there in my opinion.
