Ok, as most of you know, the players championship is coming this thursday, and I wanted to know who you all think is going to win.

I'd say Tiger, but I think he'll be preparing for Augusta more than he'll be trying to win at Sawgrass. But don't count him out.

they talked about the course setup yesterday and that the fairways will running hard and fast, like they are suppouse to to. this is going to help the short guys, and can hurt the long guys (balls running through the fairway into the rough or pine needles as the course was designed too). with that said, i think the winner is going to be someone with great control of there game

vijay and sergio will hang around, but putting will doom them both

 

tiger will most definetly be up there and can win provided his putting is better (what happened) and he is sticking the ball close to the flag (70% fairways, 76.4% greens in requlation, 1.855 putts per g.i.r., 31.3 putts). did not see a lot of tiger so i don't know if it was real bad putting or just leaving himself a lot of long putts on approaches.

well, as we all learned last year, hitting it long doesn't help you at TPC, its all about greens in Reg and putting. I'd like to see Luke Donald contend again, It would be great to see a guy like him come out of the gates strong and grab 2 early. The pga tour needs a new real "threat". I also like Freddie Couples chances he's game is real good right now. I'm going with those 2 guys.
