Ball for cold weather

OK so it was only in the 40's yesterday but it was sunny.

 

Pro V1's seemed quite distance impared. had some black max's with and they were better.

 

So what's a good ball to use in this chilly time of year?

any low compression ball like a nike mojo.. maxfli noodle. etc.

I have switched to the Srixon AD333 for cold weather play

I play pro v1/pro v1x in the summer and the Titleist So/Lo in the winter.

Srixon Softfeel, Nike SuperSoft, Noodle, Precept Lady, etc...all are great for this time of year...low compression...

Just don't expect much stopping power...

All balls are going to perform worse in cold weather. The most important thing to keep in mind when you're playing in cold weather is to stretch a lot during the round and don't stand still for too long. Being loose is the key to playing well.

Keeping them warm helps reduce performance loss as well. Keep them in an inside jacket pocket where your body heat will keep them warm and switch out on every hole.

 

Obviously by the time you get to the green the ball will be cold, but at least it will be up to temperature for your tee and iron shots when performance is most needed.

EDIT: Remember that using an artifical aid like a chemical hand warmer to increase ball temperature is illegal, so be careful if you're in tournament or handicapping conditions.
