Had a meeting with Nike design guys yesterday, the VR line will have no cosmetic changes. The lineup will stay the same until 2011.

As for the putter, they said "we are really excited about it coming out NEXT YEAR". Ahhhh, the horror.
the muscle on tigers irons is totally different than the vr's sold at retail, more straight across than curved like the vr's
the curve on the vr is just cosmetic. it doesnt change anything concerning playability. these are the vr protos tiger is playing
the irons in the pics are not vr protos, nike states it themselves on there website saying tiger plays nike forged blades not vr's
maxmw is right. the irons he is playing are protos which after a few more tweaks became the vr blades. no...they are not 'vr' blades per se, but very, very close. i think he just wanted to go back to a familiar feel when he was struggling earlier this year.

Thanks for the great news regarding the irons. Now I do not have to worry about buying new irons anytime soon! Nike is going to hit the motherload with this putter release, I can feel it.

Let the debate begin NOW. What will they look like.

I doubt we will see anything for awhile. I would like to see the blades come out in the all chrome look though.

Nike (and all manufacturers) should allow anyone to order anything they want. In other words... If they are capable of making it, they should just sell it. It is called customer service. I can see that it may not be marketable to the masses but then again I haven't really seen anyone else other than myself playing VR blades around my area. Im not starting a debate on the blades quality either...just saying that you cant turn on anthing without seeing tiger and his VR red blades. I personally love them and I came off playing MP-33's since they came out. Thas just my opinion but my point is about customer service. If you are going to shove Tiger and Anthony down my throat constantly (doon da doon doon da doon da doon doon da) then let me play the club they play. Once the tooling is made its not a herculean feat to make a head and put a custom shaft in it and make some money for doing it. I own my own business and in this economy you should make leaps and bounds to satisfy (and keep) customers even if it means bending a policy or two. I mean what is the harm? Its a custom order so its not like someone can send it back for a refund. We make extra efforts every day to service our customers. Golf manufacturers should follow suit and start to remember that this is a game and a hobby that relies on disposable income for many customers. Eventually these clubs will "fall out of someones bag" or a tour van and be listed on here or eBay anyway. There will always be clubs that are hard to get but when the top players (especially Tiger) are playing it and winning every week.... it should be made available through a more predictable custom order. Just a biased yet valid opinion from a die hard Nike fan that wants a 380 cc driver.
