Practice area opened Wed, Open to the public in the middle of July

For everyone who's been asking about it, it's finally almost open!

On weekdays, the practice tee will be open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. On weekends, it will be open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

The course will open nine holes by this weekend for its Charter Partners only (no guests). The full 18 holes will be open for Charter Partners only in early July. The course will open to the public by mid-July, according to general manager Chip Watson of Carolinas Golf Group.

I know a lot of people in the Raleigh area are pretty excited about this. There arn't many places where you can catch 18 holes of top notch golf and still be less than a mile from downtown, but they've done it! I was out on the property Monday, and it's really growing in nicely. I'm pretty biased, but I beleive that this will rival both Duke and UNC for the best college course in the area.

This is a huge jump for our PGM program and our Turf Grass program to have a great facility to put into practice what they learned; it cant hurt recruiting that the regining individual stroke play champion will be breaking it in either!

That's great to hear. I'll be down in October for a visit and I hope I'll have time to get a round in. Thanks for the update. If it is anything near the course of Finley or Duke, it'll be great!!

Just saw in the paper that it is opening July 13th to the public. July 31st Arnold Palmer will be there for the grand opening. Think it is $49 during the week and $75 on the weekend.
