Ping MB versus Ping Tour ( A fair Fight?)

I am considering picking up the Ping tour wedges however while at the ping fitting centre in Oakville was hitting the ping MB wedges. I had every intention of buying the tours however I found the MB wedge to be really good as well. Very easy to open and a real generous sweet spot. Everybody raves about the tour wedges however I was wondering if anybody as tried and likes the MB wedges. I am a low handicap however I still play a ping eye 2 plus 57 sandwedge. To me the MB wedge played more like the old eye 2 then the tour. Any thoughts??

I played the MB for 2 years, and really liked this wedge a lot. It's very versatile, and had good feel. However - I feel that the Ping TOUR trumps them in terms of solid feel and distance control. But - they're both nice sandwiches.

Personal take:

The M/B's are great GW-SW while the Tour's are better LW's. I got a M/B 54* with a T grind that I just love. Having just pruchased the Tour, I'm thinking about going back the the M/B, I just like it better.

Actually, the Eye2 57 is probably one of the best wedges there is......IMO

I have both the M/B's and the Tours and like them both alot. The M/B's I feel have more of a sweet spot but other then that I dont see any advantages or disadvantages to using either wedge. Both of them spin the ball well and both work great out the ruff and for flop shots, bump and runs, ect... For me it comes down to finishes and shape. The tour's might be going back in the garage for a little just because I like the consistant look of the blasted finish on the M/B's. It matches my I5's for a more consistant flow. But the black nickel tours just look so nice . Go hit them both out of sand, fairway, and the ruff and see what you like best! Either way you cant lose they are both fantastic!

the m/b wedges are a little more upright than other ping wedges so be careful with lie angle.also the tour wedges are similar to vokey wedges as far as shaft length and lie angle.I use the tour wedges with the non glare finish and they are great.
