Mizzy are due to make an announcement on 1st Sept so probably then.

 

I've got to say that I'm surprised that they would be release this so soon after the MX-100 and MX-200.

My guess is they had to come out with a new iron for the new groove rule. It was probably just as easy to make a new model instead of redoing the manufacturing process for the MX-200s. By making a new model it also makes it easier for people to know which irons conform to the new groove rule.

Looks good, sort of more like my MX-25 then the MX-200's. Any more pics? Do we know if they will offer wedges to go with them, at least through sand wedge? Can anybody tell if the badges are blue (hope not) or black (I hope)

I don't think this will replace the 100 or 200. It is probably just another option to add to the line which will have slightly different playing characteristics than the 100 and 200. With the success of the current MX line, maybe Mizuno wants to add more options so they can start catering more to the higher handicap market given that they are already gaining a strong following.

All Mizuno irons already comply with the condition of competition for 2010. Check their website. Only the MP wedges are non-compliant.

The cavity in the MX-300 says "Y-Tune Pro," which supports the theory that this will be a more player's oriented MX-200. could be just the ticket for me. ANYONE have pics of the MP-58? Does the 58 designation suggest it will be more of a players iron than the 52 and 57? guess we'll have to see.

I wonder if the short irons will have a solid cavity back or if it will have a channel cut. The MX 300 certainly looks like an interesting iron and the sole seems like a playable width.

 

When I saw MP 58's, I just thought the OP made a typo and meant the 68's. Anyone know anything more?

that's no fair. Just 4 weeks ago I got my brand new mx200. Looks like these are going to close the gap between mx200 and mp56. I see here more muscle behind the sweetspot, less offset? thinner top line? Cavity geometry reminds me of the mx20/23 line. Looks like Mizuno is moving "back" towards to their all time best mx23.

As I did now with my mx200. I will pull off the blue stickers. So they will look quite pure and cool.

I'm wondering how these will stack up against TM's Burner Forged....I"m trying not to be such a Sir Nick Faldo Ho! Curious, but always felt best with Mizuno! Can't wait to try them.

These have been confirmed as the real deal by someone who knows and I've been told that they will be released on Sept 1st. Iron line up will include these along with the MP-58 (no pics as yet) and the MP-68 blades that we've already seen.

Im just glad these don't have the word "Hemi" on them like one of the other models. I couldnt ever play something that had a hemi-cog. My buddies would never let me live that down-they'd be asking me if that thing had a hemi like the commercials everytime I hit a good shot.

Just got the word from a buddy of mine at True temper that the stock shaft offering will be the GS 95. This is a new shaft from TT with a new material called S5 instead of S3 that they are using in the GS 75. Sounds like a great shaft if you're into the light stuff. Says he hit them and added about ten yards.
