Lots of Titleist...

Hey guys,
So I have been here a while now even though I don't post that often but I had some free time today so I thought I'd put my bag up. It's not very impressive compared to many of the bags I see on GolfWrx but it works for me. Obviously I am a big Titleist fan and have been since I started playing. Hope you enjoy...

I use a Ping Hoofer 2 and only carry 13 clubs. Might add a 17 degree hybrid next season.


I am hoping to replace my old DCI 990s (4-9) with the new Titleist CBs, AP2s, or some combination of the 2.


Earlier this summer I picked up a gently used 905R to replace my 905T. It has a Graffaloy Blue stiff flex shaft in it. Compared to the 905T it is much more forgiving in terms of distance. The entire face is a lot hotter. I've also started hitting a lot more fairways.


Just recently picked up a 909F2 15.5 to replace a 980F 15. This club is more forgiving and a lot easier to hit off the deck.


Although I've been struggling a little as of late, my favorite part of the game is the short game and I've been using Vokeys for the past 10 years. I replaced my 990 PW with the 48 degree Vokey below and it has proved to be a lot more playable around the greens.


Finally, my favorite club in the bag. I have had this putter for 10 years and have no plans of replacing it anytime soon. I do hope to get it "pimped' by the Cameron custom shop at some point down the road.

Nice set-up. I am considering a 905-R to replace my "T" as well. I really like the size of the head of the "T", though. Good luck!

Thanks for your comment. I will say that it was an easy transition visually from the T to the R. I can only tell the difference from address with the 2 right next to each other.

Interesting idea replacing the PW with the 48 degree Vokey - good call! Love to see folks get creative and try out new strategies to work out their game; glad to hear it's working well for ya!

Curious about your 3w to 21 hyb gap. I want a 909H but do not know what loft between my 909F2 15.5 and 23* Idea Pro 4 iron. What are your yardages for your3w and hybrid?

Hey Hacker101,
So I'm not the longest hitter but I hit my 21 degree 909H ~190-200 yards and my 909F2 is closer to 215-220 yards. As I said in my original post, I'm thinking about adding a 17 degree 909H to fill the 200-215 gap. When I bought my 909H I still had a 19* 980F 5 wood so the hybrid was meant to replace my 3 iron. I considered going with a 19* 909H but thought I'd be more reliable off the deck with the 21. Good luck, it's definitely the best addition I've made to my bag this season.

What was the loft/lie of your original PW? I am thinking of making the same change.

Loft was 49* Lie was 64* Bounce was 9*. I use my Vokey a lot more around the greens than I ever used my 990 PW. It's just as good on full swings too.

Thanks buddy. Titleist has always made clubs that fit my eye and perform for me, and the 909H is no exception.

Nice bag. A bit of a Titleist fan myself. I still have my 990's and play with them now and again - lovely irons. The PP Newport 2 is a classic, as is the 905R. Solid set up all round.

I have the same exact lob wedge as you. What particular shots do you use it for and what sand/turf lies do you use it for?

My full swing is 75 yards but I rarely use it for full shots. I use it for pitch shots from 20-50 yards. I also use it for greenside bunker shots or for chips from just off the green when I need the shot to check up quickly. I play in all types of conditions and always feel comfortable with this club. I am definitely more of a sweeper so I don't worry about the low bounce. How about you?

but i have no need.... other then irons i am an all titty
man myself check my s*** out the 21* hybrids are nice i love mine
