different hosel!

If you look at the pic, it has a different hosel design that required a special ferulle.

TM make it a pain the Word not allowed to fix it. It makes me think twice what to do. :vava:

Nothing a good chop saw wouldn't fix :D :vava: :cheesy:

That is a pretty goofy design though; not crazy enough to have no solution but just crazy enough to be a pain in the a**.

I would try to countersink a ferrule or heat up the ferrule before installing and turn it pretty good on the bottom after installation.

If you cut it off, the insertion is gonna be less than 1".

I reamed the ferulle w/ a .500" ream about 1/8" depth.

Kronik can post a pic if you guys want to see how it's finish.

There are places you can get those ferrels.
Or you can easily modify some existing ones, they'rr only plastic.
Otherwise the simple solution is to cut of the top ring using a dremel and re-cone the hosel.
Seems silly making a big deal out of it.

This is a golf forums.

A place to read, learn, share though, latest information, solution, etc or just simlpy talk about it.

No doubt sooner or later they will sell the "ferrule" to make a clubmaker life easier.

On the previous post, I said If you cut the top ring, the hosel dept become to short... also i'm not sure if the customer will be happy if we inform them that we have to cut it off. I'm sure also i will have a lot of questions to answer re: the strenght of the epoxy if the hosel that short.

Hell yes! For an "experience" clubmaker is not a big deal, But i don't think I can say that to most of the member here.

WTF was TaylorMade thinking?

Was that a TP Dual or regular Dual? I would assume they are both the same. I was going to reshaft mine, but now you have me stumped, as that is out of my leauge. Did you come up with a decent fix? If so I may be sending you a couple rescue duals.

I have no problem what so ever doing it.

It's juts a bit more complicated for me.
