I just took delivery of these awesome custom knit headcovers, had to take the summer bag out and take some pics!

 

In case you guys ever wonder why this thread has so many pics... I moonlighted as a professional photographer until a couple of years ago. Sold my gear and trade them for golf clubs! LOL

Garcia, to do it the right way, you strip the original paint first. I did a light coat of white first before I do the baby blue, it makes the blue "pop" a bit more.

Unfortunately, the Method didn't pass my sound test. It rolls great, but the sight dot doesn't fit my eyes and the sound it made I could not get used to. I have to say the technology works, just that I have invested in 2 Sizemore putters and I'm used to the sound on those 2 putters a lot more. I could invest more time with it, but why? When I've putting so well with the Sizemore. I really bought it so I can say I tried it and find out that it's not just all hype.

The VR Tour is really nice, I REALLY enjoyed hitting it and it's long. A good 10 yards longer than my '09 Burner, which I have had my longest drives with it. The only thing now is to build confident with it.

I feel like this is my golf equipment diary...

I'm such an equipment ho. Since my last post, I already bought a 26* IDEA Pro (for fun), 18* Pro black (I had to try it but decided I don't like it) and yet another stand bag (Pumpkin Ridge logo)... and a set of Ladies Cleveland Hibore W-series irons for the wife (it was too cheap to pass up on at the golf show).

Little update on those Antiques... on Sunday played in probably the course's worst condition this winter, the heads are D/S grinds so they are digging too much into the soggy ground, so I'll be putting my EZ's back in for the time being, will try the Antiques later.

I actually had a thought of selling the Antiques... but that will just be crazy talk!

Can't believe it's been a few months since I updated the WITB.

 

Long story short:

 

Gone: Scratch Antique TC, TM R9 TP, TM 09 Burner, Nike Method 001

Tried and gone: Adams PNT V2 hybrids

New: Cobra L4V X, Callaway DET/Fubuki 73S, Bridgestone J38/Motore, Nike T60 15*, TM R9 TP 15* /VooDoo XNV6, New Scratch gap and lob wedges.

 

The beautiful thing is I picked up the T60 for $30, R9 15* for $80 and the brand new J38 with 2 dozens of Bstone B330 RX and S's for $160! All Craigslist finds.

 

 

No pics of the J38 yet, but here is the Cally DET.

 

 

 

 

 

As far as 3-wood goes, picked up an excellent shape Nike T60 for $30 and last week an R9 TP shafted witha VooDoo XNV6 for $80. Both are great finds on Craigslist. Stock shaft on the T60 needs to go though.

Also had a chance to bring out the wife's summer bag... recently bought her a set of Cleveland Hi-Bore W-series 5-PW at PDX Golf Show for $99, but I'm just having her carry the odd number irons. Also picked up a Cobra Ladies Speed LD driver and a 09 Ladies Burner 3-wood. The offset of the Cobra driver really straightened out her driving.

Thank you! It's been awhile, i totally forgot about my WITB thread. Not much has changed except putters and drivers.

Been awhile since I posted.

 

So here are some new additions.

 

Scratch EZ/AR combo, sand blasted by my best friend, then a set of Aldila Prototype X graphite shafts went it. He also did the custom paintfills to match the shaft.

 

Scratch Tour Department Don White SB, picked them up here on BST and did the harlequin paintfills myself. The set came 5-PW, so I'm putting a retail AR 4-iron in play. Shafted with Aerotech i110cw X shafts.

 

Scratch retail 4i EZ, 5i AR, 6-PW SB, brushed satin finish, shafted with x100.

 

Macgregor MT Pro-M, just received this set yesterday and pulled the heads and reshafted them with PX flighted 6.5. Changed the paintfills to yellow with matching ferrules, so this would be my Oregon Ducks set. Got 2 sets of the MacGregor, one set Pro-M, the other set is Pro-CM with hardstepped s300.
