Whats with all the "stickied" BST ads lately

Separate forum?

Has anyone else noticed how many stickied ads you have to scroll through to get to the new stuff? As of the time of this post, there were 27 stickied ads (not including the rules one), and 20 non-stickied (not including 2 that are marked as sold/locked). Would it be possible to move the stickied ones to a new forum to make more page 1 room? If this continues, at some point, new ads will be on page 2!

I think I saw that there is a little bit of clean-up needed, but my understanding is that the pinned posts are those who've paid for that privilege:

Yeah, I know, because I've paid for that before too. Just seems like there's an inordinate number of them these days, and since the total number appears to be fixed (at 50?) on that page, the new posts will continue to be pushed down the page (and off to page 2 sooner).

But moving them to a seperate forum isn´t really a solution. Nobody will pay for an ad that isn´t even in the BST.

I mean, that´s the point of a pinned ad, you have to scroll through them so they get more attention. I even kind of like the pinned ads I must say, most of the time there´s high quality stuff.

The only thing I could imagine is to limit them to a certain number, let´s say 25~30 .
I don´t know how this forum code works or let´s you customize things, but in the settings the maximum "Number of [b]topics[/b] to show for each forum page" can be set to 40 (maximum), which is not that much. Maybe the webadmin can give us the option to choose even more.

Yes. I've wanted the first page of BST to be longer for awhile now. It would make sense to have it at 60 or even 75 posts per page. I realize that it is free to post ads, but it would be nice to have some more posts on the first page.

Because some of the paid ads were active during the board upgrade, Gxgolfer has given them another week up there on the house. He's also in Orlando for the PGA merch show and hasn't had time to go through them and unpin. Rest assured, expired ads will be purged soon. Thanks for your patience.
