Titleist #1 hybrid at Northern Trust

I was suprised to see Titleist was the top hybrid at this weeks tournament with all the talk about Adams and Taylor Made dominating the hybrid counts. What a start for 2010 for Titleist with their players winning all the events so far.

not too hard for me to believe, it is a really good hybrid and to me it seems like a lot of guys are using it as their 3 wood. I thought that is what JB Holmes used this week for his 3 wood

I love their hyrids. I went through a lot of hybrids and hit the 909H better than any.

Very true, but it's only woods anyways. At least they're not always pushing new stuff out; when they come up with a new line, it's almost always an actual improvement over the previous one. Don't believe me? How about the 907 line to the new 909 line? Just saying

a walter hagen driver from Dicks is better than the 907 :tongue:, so it was not too hard to make an improvement.

What about all the dot series irons? Were the 690.CB's really that much of an improvement over the 690CBs? 690MB's vs. 690.MB's? They hardly change anything anymore. Their blades and Mizno Blades are probably the most consisten product lines out over the years. The ZB's were a quick sidestep but they're back to their norm now.

Doesn't get any more clear cut then that. From greatness to worst on the market in 2 years. I hope someone was fired over that 907 series.

Haha, I've heard about the horror of that 907 line but they went back to their normal greatness. My first "real" driver was a 975J a few years ago, and that was a great way to get into using my driver over my 5 wood off the tee more. Wish I could get another 975J and shaft it up with something nice because it always felt great and hit the ball nicely. Also, their blades are supposed to be a great improvement over the Z line before, so that's my other example. Just saying, this 909 line is apparently magical, and all their new clubs (save the supposed few improvements in the new APs) are better than before.

I should have put more emphasis on ALMOST I've heard scary stories about the 907s. Apparently they did fire those guys, or else we wouldn't have gotten the 909 line most likely. Glad to see Stricker is having a lot of success with them too!
