Anyone ever played with ladies golf balls????

after looking into some softer balls to use with my persimmons I found some Loco ladies soft on sale today, they are 50 compression two piece jobs. anyone ever used ladies balls with their proper wood and if so what are they like?

Not just with seniors. That was a really good and widely-used ball, even among better players. I played with the Precept Lady and the later Lady Diamond version quite a bit. They were very good balls; exceptional balls when you consider the price.
The only thing is that I'm not sure how they compare compression-wise with today's lady's balls.

Well, bought a box of 5 sleeves for £5, i'll post a report when i get a chance to use them in anger. I also bought some of the new top flite 5000 xl soft which are nice

Bought a dozen of Lady IQ Plus a while back to see if they were a viable alternative to a Pro-V1, for winter (Tucson winter) play.

My impressions overall were pretty good (putter/iron feel, distance), with short iron spin being the only thing that didn't measure up head to head, but (IQ Plus) performed pretty good given the conditions. Especially for the price.

Now that temps are getting higher, I'm back to the Titleist, but I may have to play that ball again when the temps start dropping below 60 again.

This thread comes up twice a year. I'd like to use a ladies ball. That doesn't look
like one. Just for the softer feel and I have a slow swing speed. I am tempted
to use the Callway Pearl as this ( along with the Precept ) are the normal responses
.
Also, the Pearl has a newer version. Anyone try it?

When they first came out, I used to hit the Lady Precepts...long and had some feel. Actually 3 out of the 4 players in my regular group used them and as a 10 handicap, I was the highest of the three. They were actually very solid and when my partner asked me to give them a try I was hooked. I believe that was in the mid-1990's.

This winter I have been using a Srixon Lady Soft Feel. It's up to 20 yards longer off the irons due to its utter lack of spin (compared to a ProV1). I don't see any difference in length off the driver. The beuaty of this ball is that I can hit my lofted clubs extremely far (pulled a 9 iron today from 160), and the ball is coming virtually straight down when it lands. Who needs spin... On the other hand, when I hit a 3/4 lob wedge, the ball released 15 feet instead of stopping dead. These balls are very, very soft. I like the feel off the putter. Some playing partners mock the ball, others have tried it.
