Titleist 905R in V2 65 Regular Shaft

Any one playing this set up

Looking to buy the 905R and yesterday demo'ed the club fitted with a V2 75 in stiff flex - and found it to be to stiff for me and a touch on the heavy side.All demos in UK are this spec - I spoke to Titleist UK who confirmed this.

Has anyone tried this club with a V2 in 65 gram Regular flex, and if so, can you give any comments. My swing speed is in the high 80's -90 mph.

Tried the V2 65R in a Launcher 460 and was very impressed with flight ,dispersion and length.

I'll be interested to see what replies you get to this post, your specs are about the same as mine, and I am looking to buy a 905r.

The problem in the UK is getting access to testing the clubs with various shafts, even when I have been to titleist for a fitting session they only carry the stock shaft offerings, even though they offer loads of options!!

I have looked a loads of websites for shaft recommendations but again swing speed means that we are usually on the border for stiff and regular flex.

That means if were not careful we end of making an expensive mistake and buying a shaft that is too soft to control or too stiff to get airborne.

I must say I'm from Germany and couldn't demo this driver. I just ordered it from the US. I have this setup for 2 months now. I was never measured on a Launch Monitor. I average about 270-280 yards now. I think I could be swinging stiff easily but I feel great with this shaft. I've never hit too much fairways but now (former driver: r5 tp, aldila nvs) I average 20 yards more and I hit 2 additional fairways. I looked for a shaft that gives me more distance. Also the v2 65 plays stiffer than a comparable wood shaft in the same flex. I think with your swing speed I would definetely decide whether to get more distance or more control. This shaft definetely gives you distance no matter if it's stiff or regular. I will switch to the v2 shaft's in all my woods in the summer. These shafts are so great...
