Really like playing the Disney Courses but, they can run a little $$$ if you don't get the value play. Where else is good around there? Hawk's Landing was a pretty tough course. What about Orange County?

Our daughter moved to the Orlando area and I was also looking for options. The New Course at Grand Cypress is worth playing at least once. It's somewhat expensive but by combining it with a lesson at the Academy, you get a discount and a couple of the most helpful hours of lessons I've found. As for daily fee, try Victoria Hills ($70) northeast of Orlando (hilly, pine trees and good, large greens) or Southern Dunes ($70) , just southwest of O, with quick greens and a decent layout.

When I was in Orlando many years ago, there was a collection of three awesome courses. One designed by Palmer, one by Player and one by Nicklaus. They were all part of the same complex. I will try to retrieve the name of the courses.

I was in Orlando this past January. I played 5 courses, Disney's Palm & Magnolia, World Woods' Pine Barrens & Rolling Oaks and Victoria Hills. Disney's Palm was my least favorite and Victoria Hills was a very nice course for a very reasonable price and will play there again. A good test from the tips.

It's been a while since I've played some of my "will play again" courses around Orlando which are Orange County National, Southern Dunes(fast running course but heard it's being enroached by houses) & Diamondback. I have not played on some of the newer courses.

Southern Dunes is far and away the best course I've played so far down here. I also like the North/South at Grand Cypress a lot. Keene's Pointe is alright too. Only thing I didn't like there was that a lot of the par 4's look/play the same. Falcon's Fire is alright, but vastly over-rated in my opinion. Victoria Hills is a decent layout, but when we played they had just aerated the greens.

Check out Eagle Creek too. WELL worth the $40 twilight rate. Played there last monday in a tournament. Course was in tremendous shape, and the greens were rolling very well. It's one of the few courses that makes you use every club in your bag. Watch out for all the pot bunkers though.

Hi All,

I'll be at two of the Disney courses at the end of November (Magnolia Nov. 28 and Eagle Pines Nov. 29). I chose them for two reasons, Magnolia since it's a tour stop and Eagle Pines for it being a Pete Dye course. Any suggestions?

Mystic Dunes is a very challenging course. Lots of pot bunkers and the most undulalating greens I have every seen. Their are some greens that the elevation is 6-8 feet from front to back with whalehumps all over the place. It's a course I would not expect to score well unless you can putt like Ben Crenshaw.

Harmony Golf Preserve is good, close to EagleCreek(Good track agreed). I think the best in that area is VickyHills for sure though

WINTER PARK PINES, Rolling Hills, Dubsdread, Twin Rivers, Lake Orlando, Deer Run, Sabal Point, Zellwood Station, Winter Springs, Boggy Creek.....

These are my courses, but I'm down for any 2-man game in or around the 407

I'm playing Disney's Magnolia Course on April 9th, 3:06 tee time for the twilight rate of 80 bucks. Theres still room at that time if anyone wants to play in, currently I'm playing alone. Would love to meet a fellow WRXer and play.

Pulled thr trigger on this course over Ospery ridge for 2 reasons. 1, PGA tour course, never played one before, and 2, I'll be going back to Disney in less than 2 years again for my little sisters sake, so I'll play Ospery then. Just want to get this one under my belt so I can see how good the pros are come the FUNAI.

So, April 9th, 3:06, lets tee it up!
